Okay, inspired by an earlier post about the popularity of Hailey, I finally got around to researching the popularity of two of the most popular naming trends going on right now: the -aileys and -aidens. We talk all the time on this board about how popular these groupings are. I thought some of you might be intrigued by this reference I compiled.

Holy name trend! I agree, there are names on there that I like, some that I can't stand, but am overwhelmed how trends can go. Cadence is a name I thought that I was "unique" in thinking of and liking about a year ago. Told it to DH and he made *a face*. Now to see how the trend of that name has spiked, it amazes me. I still like the name though, but would not use it, most likely due to DH. Besides, I seem to only have the need for boys names...........damn y chromosomes....LOL!)

It's wild, isn't it? To see the way trends boost other names up.


About 4-5 years ago, I really wanted to get a cat and name it Cadence nn Cady. It wasn't in the top 1000 list and I actually didn't think of it as a name, but as a WORD. I'm a writer and I used to sing, so to
