Twin Boys - Need 1st & Middle Names
| Thu, 10-27-2005 - 8:38pm |
We are having twin boys in January. We don't like using the same letter for both names that is sometimes what I've seen suggested (e.g. Ethan and Evan). We are looking at biblical names and like Ethan, Jacob and Isaac, but want suggestions of others, as well as help with middle names too!!! Our 3 year old daughter's name is Lauren. Given that our last name is 3 syllables long, we were thinking of first names with 2 syllables and middle names with just 1 syllable to make it sound better (i.e. Ethan Marc). Any help would be greatly appreciated, as my wife and I seem to be getting nowhere, and time is ticking. Thanks!

If you are really not into long names though, I LOVE the name Jacob Ryan. I also love the name Jayden, but it isn't biblical.
My other sons name is Gregory...another 3 syllibal name!!
HTH
Twin boys how exciting!!! Here are a few suggestions. I'll think of more later, I'm kinda sleepy right now (brain is working slow). The middle names are rough & not real great, but they are just suggestions.
Noah Gabriel & Joel Michael
Elijah Joseph & Isaiah Jacob (maybe too similiar sounding for your taste)
Javin (Gen.5, I think) Matthew & Lukas (Luke) Paul
Aaron & Simon (drawing a blank w/mn here)
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Jason Patrick & Chad Eric
Jason Paul & Jeffrey James ( I know you aren't crazy about the same letter)
Holden Clark & Aidan Jude or Mark
Hi there,
We're expecting twins, too (april), and I'm with you on the different initials bit :)
I'm not a huge fan of Ethan, but Ethan Marc is great! I really do think that there are too many Jacobs out there at the moment, no matter how excellent a name it is (sigh- same with Hanna and Emma, the names I wanted to give to daughters when I was a teenager).
Right- names for your twins, biblical.
2 Syllables:
Adam- overdone a few years ago, but not bad.
Abel or Abram (nn Abe? or Bram)
Marcus
Lucas/Luca
Peter
David
Asher
Cyrus
Elias (3 syllables, but I like it!)
Ezra
Felix (not strictly biblical, but so many holy figures w/ this name...)
James (alrighty, that's one syllable, I know...)
Joseph
Jared
Joachim (or Joaquin, but I prefer Joachim)
Jethro (as long as you can get past the Jethro Tull thing)
Jesse
Ian or Johann (for John, if you're sticking to the 2-syllable fn thing)
Jonas/Jonah- an nice alternate to Joseph for the Jo nn.
Josias/Josiah- see above, 3 syl, but hey...
Judah- I really like Jude, though (not the association w/Mr. Law-blech)
Levi
Micah
Omar
Philip
Reuben/Ruben
Rufus (hey- I like this one! And it's a new testament name, an early saint or some such)
Silas
Simon
Stephen
Thomas
Timon (though I associate this w/ Shakespeare ahead of the new testament...)
Tobias/Tobit (nn Toby- love it!)
1-syllable
Marc
Luc/Luke
John
Paul
Saul
Seth
James
Jude
Dan, Ham, Shem/Sem, Gad.
Ideas-
Ethan Marc and Jared Luke/Luc
Ezra Paul and Felix John
Asher Jude and Reuben/Ruben Saul
Stephen Luc and Marcus James (too new testament?)
Simon Luke and Jonas Marc
Cyrus James and Tobit John
Ethan and Jared, Ezra and Felix, Asher and Reuben, Stephen and Marcus, Simon and Jonah, Cy and Toby.
See anything you like? Hope that helps a bit!
-Sisi.
Twin boys! Congratulations!
I love Ethan and Micah. How about Ethan Luke and Micah John?
How about:
Ezra Joel & Josiah Paul?
