i cannot deny itm it IS a cute name, but I know how I grew up being teased about my name being Mercedes, i even adopted Benz as a nickname. It was never hurtful teasing but, yah know it gets annoying. And then the Idea of my daughter having a vehicle name and her MOTEHR also... now isnt that kind of just like a big finger pointing at her saying "PICK on ME"
lol
anyways I'd have to say Bently is at the top of our list... but I do have a few more picked out. We don't know the Sexes... I dont want to know until, well their there.
Boys:
Carter James (not from rush hour~)

Mackie
Chustyn

I like Carter, Connor and Chandler from your boys list.
For girls, I like Lainie, Lucie or Kennedy (but not with the strange spellings - your child will constantly be having trouble with that).
I would not use Bently - that would be setting your child up for a lifetime of teasing - which you know all about - and would be twice as bad with a mom named Mercedes.
How about Brinley? It has the same sound, but would remove the 'car' theme from the family.
Wow, I have to agree that naming your daughter after a car (or giving her the same name as a car, regardless if that is why you are choosing it) is setting her up for being teased. Especially since you also share a name with a car. If you really like the sound, how about Brinley and Brinkley or Bryn or Brynna for a girl. Or Bennett or Beckley for a boy. You can experiment a little and find a name that is close but doesn't have as much teasing potential, I think.
Your list...
Boys:
Carter James - I like this, it's nice. A word of warning, Carter is growing as a girl's name and starting to become a little unisex.
Conner - I love Conner. I think it's a great classic name that is not overly popular
Chandler - I like it. Not my favorite, but a solid choice.
Mackie - Not a huge fan of this. It sounds like a nickname. And also I'm just over the who Mac/Mc craze. There are so many Mac- names out there now.
Chustyn - I've never heard of this name and don't particularly like it, sorry. I'm not a huge fan of Justin or Dustin either, so I think I just don't love that whole family of names. And the y spelling is sort of feminine.
Girls:
Bently - See above. I think you can find something cute and similar that isn't a car. :)
Kynnaddie - I honestly didn't know what this was supposed to be until I saw another post. I too like Kennedy but don't like this spelling at all. It's confusing and just too out there for me.
Laynie - I love Laynie/Lanie/Laney as a nickname, but think it would be nice for her to have a full name to use for professional things when she's an adult (resumes, business cards, etc). Do you like Elaine or Elena or Laine/Layne?
Lucie - I LOVE Lucie. (I prefer the spelling Lucy, but the ie doesn't bother me) Be forewarned though, even though this name isn't ranked very high in popularity, I think it's one of those names that is very popular in random areas. There are three Lucy's in my three-year-old's preschool class and I know at least two more under the age of two.
Lucie + Laynie -- I like this, though I still feel Laynie needs something a little more grown up as a full name.
Carter + Conner -- Nice. I like this combination.
Bently + Chandler -- I just don't love Bently.
Suggested combos...
Connor and Lucie - These are my two favorites from your lists and I think they go really well together. They are both classic names that are cute too.
Carter and Kennedy - A cute combination since both are surnames and they have a matching sound at the beginning, but not a matching letter.
Chandler and Kennedy - ditto the surname comment above
Good luck choosing! And it sounds like you have your hand (and your house!) full with your husband's brothers!
While I do think Bentley could be a cute name, I would think of it as more of a boy's name and I agree with you that since your name is also a car, I would try to steer clear of naming your child another car name.
I like the first three boy's names and the last two girls names. I'm guessing that "Kynnaddie" would be pronounced Kennedy? If so, I would strongly advise against the spelling that you have included here. Its definitely difficult to tell what the name is supposed to be, and I think sort of spoils such a classy name by making the spelling too far out there. Plus, I think an adult Kennedy would be better served than an adult Kynnaddie.
But I do like your two boys and two girls combos.
My future DH and I discussed Bentley as a possible baby name, though he discussed it as a boys name. Anyway I don't like Bently on a girl, its too masculine. These are my fav combos from your list:
Boy/Boy: Bently and Connor
Girl/Girl:Kennedy(prefer this spelling)and Laynie
Girl/Boy:Kennedy and Bently
I LOVE the name Mercedes! If I had twin girls, I would love to name them Mercedes and Celeste.
My nephew's name is Bentley. I think, it's a lovely name for a boy or girl. And because, Bentleys (the car) isn't well known to the general population. I don't think she would get lots of teasing.

If he likes Bently maybe he would like my niece's name which is Brinnly.
Bentley is a cute name. but it may seem even more odd when mom's name is mercedes
How about g/g- Bentley& Lexus :)
b/b I like Carter and Chandler
b/g Bentely and Chandler
Best of luck, let us know!
Hi Mercedes,
I'm having twins, too- and my name's Siena, so ever since the late 90s I've been gently teased about that. I never really liked my name in the first place (I was named after the Italian town). But we own a Sienna minivan now :P
Names- if you're worried now about your daughter being teased for her name, then I wouldn't name her Bentley. Bentley does sound very boyish to me, too. Plus, Mercedes and Bentley are both very posh cars, and people could think that you are being pretentious.
Boys:
Carter James- I like this one! Would he go by Carter, James or CJ?
Conner- This is popular, but it's really nice too. I prefer the spellings Conor or Connor, but that's just me :)
Chandler- there's actually a little girl with this name at the preschool, but I do think it's a boy's name- not my fav but fine if it work for you :P
Mackie- is this a family last name? If it is, you could get away with it, but if not, there are plently of 'Mac' name this could be a nn for. If there are any Mac last names in you family, I'd use one of them first, but then there's always Cormac (irish), Mackenzie (which was a boys' name long before someone had the bright idea of giving it to a girl. MAC means SON of!! the equivalent daughter of is NIC'! Sorry), Mackay, Mackey are both surnames you could use- Maclean, Macleod,Macarthur, MacCarthy, Macewen, Maccallum... there are hundreds.
Chustyn- I'd stick with Justin or Houston, which ever one this sounds like. Really I would. I'm a teacher, and this would be difficult for your son, and I guarantee you that it would be mispronounced, often- I'm not even sure quite how I'm suposed to pronounce it. I think a lot of people would think that it's a misspelling of Justine, too.
Bentley- see above! But Benjamin, Bennett or Benedict (that's the name of the Pope, Benedict the 16th) make excellent boys' names.
Kynnadie- guessing Kennedy? The regular spelling is okay, but did you know that it means 'ugly head'? I know it's popular and normal, there have been three or four Kennedys at the preschool in the last few years, but I always wonder what'll happen if any of their classmates ever discover the meaning of the name...I like Kenna, though.
Laynie- I like this one, though I think I prefer it as a nn for Elayne/Elaine, Elayna/Alayna, Elena, Lena or Lane/Layne.
Lucie- Love it! Lucy's my favourite spelling, but Lucie's just fine too.
One thing that we try to do when we're thinking over names is imagine your baby at different stages of their life- can you imagine a teenager with the name? A twenty-somthing applying for a job? Would you trust a doctor with that name? A judge? Could you see your child as an MP (or Congressman/woman or senator)-with that name? A teacher? An entrepeneur? A shop clerk? Because no matter what they're doing, you know you'll love them, but it's important that they aren't held back by their name. It's really unfortunate, but people do judge by name- and if all they've got is a resume with "Mikkinzi Lexxie Jones" on it, they probably won't be asking your brilliant, hardworking child in for an interview for the position of manager. Unfortunate, but true. Mackenzie Alexandra has a much better chance at being taken seriously. I'm not just making this up: my name is Siena, and even before Ms. Miller became famous, Siena was usually seen as a 'ditzy' name- people often express surprise when they meet me for the first time in real life- I'm not blonde, don't wear much makeup and am reasonably educated.
Out of your names I like the combinations:
B/B Conner and Justin, Carter and Justin, Justin and Chandler
G/G Elayne nn Laynie and Lucie, Kenna and Lucie, Kenna and Elena nn Laynie (or Leni)
B/G Conner and Lucie (<-- LOVE THIS!!!), Justin and Lucie, Conner and Kenna, Justin and Kenna, Chandler and Alayna nn Laynie.

Wow, twins! Congratulations!
Off your boy list, I love Carter James w/ the possible nn CJ. Connor (prefer this spelling) is great, too. Chandler isn't bad, but it seems a little stuffy to me and also makes me think of "Friends." Again, not bad, but I tend to prefer names with a little less association. Mackie and Chustyn are nmsaa. Mackie is a little too cutesy for a boy's formal name, but it might be a cute nn for something, and Chustyn just sounds made up, IMO.
Of your girl names, my favorites are Laynie (but only as a nn) and Lucie/Lucy. I *love* the name Elena/Alaina, but DH doesn't, so I couldn't use it for one of our girls. Delaney, Elaine, and Lane/Layne/Laine are also good formal options for the nn Laynie. Lucie is sweet, too, and you could use the more formal Lucille or Lucia if you wanted to. I think Elena and Lucia (nn Laynie and Lucie) would be adorable on sisters. Kynnadie is okay, but I think it would look much better spelled Kennedy.
And Bently... hmmmm... I've been thinking about this one b/c it's not really my style, but I could see how it could grow on me. However, I keep picturing it on a little boy - maybe b/c of the Ben part? I guess I'd prefer Brenna, Brynn, or Brinley on a girl. JMO, though.
Good luck making a decision!
I have not read any of the other posts yet, but I for sure have my favorites..
Laynie being my favorite girl, Lucie in second place. What about Lacie/Lacey?
Carter and Conner are great choices for the boys.
I am not quite sure how to pronounce Kynnaddie---is it supposed to be Kennedy? Mackie
Chustyn just don't sound like names to me, but I could be way off here myself.
As far as Bently, I like the name. However, I do agree with you about you having a "car name" and now your daughter. Bently and Chandler sound good together, but I would wonder how often you would here questions like, "why didn't you name him after a car??" Might get old after awhile.
