My vote went to Leila Elizabeth - that is very pretty. I wanted to suggest Felicity as an alternative to Destiny - it means happiness and sounds similar to Destiny, but is much more substantial.

Good luck,
Brooke

:( I see that not that many people likes the name Leila Elizabella :(.

I decided to see how people like this name because two reasons. 1.I love the name Isabella, and my son and father of the baby does not like that name. 2. My son likes the name Elizabeth, but I do not like it that much. Well, it is a good name, but I preffer the name Isabella, so I made Elizabella as a middle name, so that my son and I can have the names that we like in one name. What is it that people do not like about this name? It is that it does not go well with the name Leila as a first name? If anyone can give their opinion, please feel free to do so.

I think most people are probably turned off by the fact that it's an obviously made-up name that just doesn't work well -- neither as a mn for Leila nor simply a name in general (lots of Ls and As, five syllables together, just not two names that seem to go together at all).

FWIW, I'm sure an even bigger problem for some is that Elizabeth and Isabella are pretty much the same name -- Isabel(la) is a form of Elizabeth, if you weren't aware -- so it seems odd to try and combine the two to form a "new" version. Kind of like combining Margaret and Megan to get Margaran, KWIM?

Some alternatives to Elizabeth and Isabella (whether they go with Leila well or not):

  • Isadora

  • Annabel

  • Mabel

  • Iris

  • Eliza

  • Elise

  • Annelise

  • Annabeth

  • Bethan

  • Bess

  • Elspeth

  • Maribel

  • Claribel

  • Sabela/Sabella

  • Sibeal/Shibley

  • Arabella

  • Araceli
