i assumed you were naming a boy with waverly. but upon 2nd thought, oculd see it for a girl also.
i guess it's a little feminine for a boy, actually.
i like it. don't see it as similar to skye. more like avery, IMO.

Although it's not my usual style, I really do like Waverly... even though it's surnamey, it's cute and feminine, and that's reinforced by the connection to the upscale fabric/wallpaper/decor company. I like it for you!

Umm I've never heard of Wyndham for a name name. Its a hotel chain here in Arkansas. But anyway back to Waverly, at first it made me think of a cracker. LOL. Not real sure why. But I actually like it. It fits very nicely with you other DDs.

Good luck hun. I'm sure you will find the perfect name soon.

It seems that I'm in the minority here because I really don't like it. I've lived in four different places that have a Waverly St/Ave as a major road. Wrigley Field (I'm originally from Chicago) is on Waverly.

But more importantly, to me Waverly is a huge fabric company that mass markets it's products. If you don't know what I mean you can go to any fabric store and you will see the huge "Waverly" sign hanging over a whole section of fabrics. Go to Target and see the rows and rows of Waverly bedding, Waverly curtains, etc.

It's just a name that I see everywhere that I turn - not on people but in a lot of other places.

Y'know, Wyndham has hotels here, too...but I've seriously never had the heart to ask where the name came from. You just can't say "hey, was your daughter conceived there?" (We're not that close.)

I actually went to high school with one - the ONLY one I've ever known. I'm sitting here wracking my brain trying to think of her last name, but because she was a year after me I can't go onto my graduation website to see. She would be around 50 now. All I remember is she had long, medium brown hair and was fairly tall. bums me out I can't remember her last name.

It's not my style but probably because I grew up knowing an older lady named that that was not very nice to me. But, if you love it then that's what counts!
