searching a 60,000 name book waiting for the girls at dance today....do you like waverly for a girl? of course dh says she sounds like a surfer etc etc and should go to school with girls like sunshine and skye.....i think it's different. means aspen tree meadow and hey we live in colorado home of the aspen trees....janet

I think it's great w/ your girls. I don't have the brand name associations but that might be an American thing. I also like Waverley :)

Waverly is also a town in Massachusetts. :)

It's nms, but I think it fits really well with the rest of your girls' names, and it's quite pretty. Most surname names end up being some brand name or another (or the name of a president!), so that shouldn't automatically stop you.

Why didn't I know that? The only Massachusetts relationship I knew of was that Waverly St. (Rt. 126) is the street that runs through downtown (rundown) Framingham. Where is Waverly, MA? I guess that I don't leave my little corner of the world much anymore.

don't worry guys not using waverly...not sure of a name yet....but waverly does nothing for me anymore ....guess i do not do a whole bunch of shopping for sheets or whatever-just a pottery barn girl here....tried and true

I love the name, but I like it better for a little boy. I have many "W" names for a little boy including: Waverly, Wellesley, Wentworth, & Warwick. I believe it would work on a little girl also. I know most consider it a girl name.
