Okay . . . another suggestion for you :)

Kerrington

I know it has the k sound at the beginning, but it is really cute :) I don't think Hunter would mind . . . at least they don't all start with the same letter! Anyway, let me know what you think and I will keep searching. BTW, this one came out of my church directory :)

I was just watching Children of Men with my dh (for the second time ... GREAT movie if you haven't seen it, btw ), and thought Julian might be a good fit with your other girls' names. Just figured it worth mentioning. ;)

Hey, Janet...just got back from a long road trip, which means I was reading a lot and I came across two that I wasn't sure if anyone had suggested but I thought would go great with your girls: Cavanaugh and Delancey.

delancey and carrington are looking neat. i like the carrington with a 'c'-nn could be cary.like delancey better than delaney maybe because delaney was my brothers bestfriend as a child-so very boy to me. thanks for thinking of me ladies.i am making a list and when dh FINALLY gets home (one more week after 17 MONTHS gone ofcourse with the exception of the 11 days he came home to help produce 'no name')i'll let him look at it-come to the conclusion names look better on paper when first seen. carrington brooke....carrington ...hmmmmmm

thanks leslie i needed some positive input on my name choices. do you think it sounds okay with the last name anderson? carrington brooke anderson? i think i am about exhausted from this whole naming thing. especially trying to avoid 'c','k', 'er',and presidents. so going with just one more 'c'might have to do-atleast it is car, ken and car (cair). no presidents named carrington? what was the president on westwing?preston right? janet

Just chiming in to say the pres. on West Wing was Jed Bartlett. lol

Oh, my first thought on seeing Waverly was that is the name of one of the main characters in the novel The Joyluck Club by Amy Tan.

Carrington sounds great with your girls' names, btw.

I personally think that Carrington Brooke Anderson is adorable! I personally think that some people over analyze naming children a little too much. Yes, I agree that it is very important and you should put in a lot of thought and get lots of feedback (that is why I am here!). However, at the end of the day it is your baby and you have to name her what you love! After all . . . You will be calling her by it for the rest of your life, not us :) That being said, my best friend is Brooke. She has 3 other sibs; Bethany, Adam, and Benet. I have know this family all my life. Never once has anyone said anything about Adam not having a B name. As a matter of fact I just noticed it while thinking of names the other day . . . and I am 28!!! If that is your only set back . . . . forget it :) BTW I don't get to watch that much TV, so I don't know the president on the West Wing :( Did you get a chance to ask your DH about Carrington? My DH always shoots down my favorite picks! Why do we let them have a say anyway! LOL!!! Keep us posted!

thanks guys-i am having a rough day in the naming department-maybe taking too much too personally on my own expecting board....but there is a girl there who wants to name her dd carter elisabeth and she is getting bashed left and right-i took it a wee bit personally as it is my dd age 6's name....so i described her and how the name we chose has not had any sort of negative impact on her and quite frankly she loves it. we have also never had anyone she has met degrade the name as much as it has been trampled on on the board. so maybe it is hormones....BUT when i see a name that makes me think 'streetwalker or exotic dancer'-i just don't write a response...it just baffles me.as for telling dh about this name.nope just going to keep it to myself for as long as possible.i like the way it looks.....and at the end of the day thats all that matters.i found out today from a guy that was over in iraq with him that he had said we were trying one more time for a boy-that was news to me-no wonder he is having trouble naming this girl being #4 and all.also he was just home (his hometown) for a wedding and he never mentioned the baby until my sil said she liked the name taylor-i am just getting the feeling he is not really into this whole baby-so with that said i am naming her carrington! janet

I'm sorry it's been a rough day. FWIW, I think Carter Elizabeth is beautiful, and I love Carrington with the rest of your girls. :) Carrie was my sister's nn, so I've always liked that, too.

I had forgotten all about them until this thread, but at my old practice there was a family with 4 girls named Channing, Carrington, Carlisle (nn Carly), and I think the littlest one was Cassidy. I'll toss those names into the pot, just in case Carrington loses its appeal.

Allie
