Need some input on choice of names-- I'm liking Teagan Clay for a boy and Meghira Grace for a girl. Do they sound way out there or just a little different. (We're shooting for a little different.) Our other son is Lochlyn Brian (first name pronounced like Loch Ness Monster--Loch--lyn. Any input would be great :)

I don't think Teagan Clay is half bad...love MN Clay...but I have seen Tegan/Teagan more frequently on girls, in the past decade (just FYI!)

How is Meghira pronounced? I've never seen it before, and I'm imagining it pronounced "Muh-GEER-uh"

I think Teagan Clay is a great name, but not that different anymore, I'm hearing both names quite a bit. I have never heard of Meghira though, I like it! I have heard of Megara, which is also nice and different. Grace is a beautiful name, but very common.

i like both names, and Lochlyn's name. i especially like your having classic, common middle names! that's my style also. share how you say Meghira.. like others i'm seeing as Meh-geer-ah.

Teegan Clay is fine.. but Meghira?

Meghira makes me think two things: someone with a hispanic type accent saying Magilla (as in Magilla Gorilla of Hanna-Barbera fame) or a monster in a Godzilla movie. I can just hear the dubbing into english.. Look out, Maghira just landed on shore! Would you possibly consider Megara (MEG-arah)? It's a nice place name and is also mythologically the name of Hercules' first wife. Very unusual, hardly ever heard but is usable both sound and spelling wise. Plus it's a neat little thing to be named after a mythological figure. Megara Grace would be gorgeous!

Teagan Clay is ok, and I don't know how to pronounce Meghira, so I don't know if I like it or not. I do like the previous poster's suggestion of Megara...and you can't go wrong with Grace as a mn.

Love Teagan for either a boy or girl. Teagan Clay or Teagan Grace are both cute.

Meghira is a little different, but it may grow on me. Is it pronounced Meg-eye-ra? If so, I hope this doesn't sound too harsh, but it is a teensy bit unpleasant sounding. Sorry! Maybe it will grow on me...

Lochlyn is cool. We considered Lochlan but have decided on Lane.

Best of luck to you!

I don't like Meghira, sorry. Maybe I'm not imaging correctly how it's pronounced tho. Teagan I thought was a girls name.

I really like the name Teagan, it's good for both boys and girls. I'm not a huge fan of Meghira, but it is a name that would probably grow on me after awhile.
