It seems like one of those "Lego" names...you know, you click a new sound onto a trendy ending and *poof* instant name!

I have heard it (maybe once?) but I do think it's a name made-up to fit the -on trend.

Cason sounds better outloud than I thought it would actually although I do prefer Grayson and Carson.

Cason isn't made up, at all. Cason is a surname. A quite common one, here in the South. I also know three Casons- one girl who is grown, one boy who is a teenager, and one boy is about 10.

It has a great sound. It would grow up well. The only problem is the extreme popularity of letter C- for boys, long A- sounds on boys and girls, and the fondness for Mason, Jason, Grayson, and Carson. While Cason, in and of itself, is more unusual, the elements it combines will cause it to blend.

Best wishes!

Cason sounds good and looks good. i cant remember the spelling, but in olden days, the horse drawn carriage that pulled the casket within for funerals (that day's hearse) was called a Cason, or however it was spelled. is not part of our everyday language now, but they are still used with royalty, etc. not wanting to dampen Cason, but just wanting you to be informed.

It's a caisson, I believe. It's also a cart used to haul artillery and weapons. (I know this only because it's part of the Army Hymn.)

That's exactly what I was thinking. "Over hill, over dale, as we hit the dusty trail...and the caissons go rolling along..."

AJ, enjoying life with C.
