I have came across a new name from my daughter's daycare, and it was Addison nn Addy. Do you like this better than Isabella nn Bella?
**I know this is probaby a stupid question but can you also help me out on the abrevitaions? Like what dh means and things like that?
Terra

Nice name, lol. I'm Terra, too. I, personally, like Addison better than Isabella. I think Addison is becoming popular, although I haven't heard it much in my area.
DH - darling husband
IMO - in my opinion
JMHO - just my honest opinion
DS - darling son
DD - darling daughter
BTW - by the way
That's all the ones I can think of right now. If you need help on any others, don't be afraid to ask.

In months past I've heard it on the board quite a bit. If I remember right it's becomming popular or is already popular. I'm not a fan of "-son" names for girls but I like the nn Addy. I like think both sets of combos work
I know alot of you don't care for popular names, but I have an Emmaleigh and her name is really popular. I actually like those kinds of names. Thanks for all of the abreviations!!
** I love both of the names!! HElp me out!

I do like Addison nn Addy better than Isabella. It is unisex and i love unisex names!
dh = dear husband!
Good luck!

Here's another one.
nn = nick name
I can't remember if you've posted possible middle names. Sometimes that helps when choosing between a couple names. I really like Isabella with nn Ella although Emma and Ella may be a bit too matchy. All the forms of Catherine are popular right now and there are a lot to choose from. Katelyn looks like it would fit with Emmaleigh. :) Good Luck
Neither is exactly my style, but I'd say I like both about the same for someone else. It's kind of hard to say because they feel totally different to me, one being a trendy unisex type name and the other being a frilly equally-popular name, KWIM?
However, if you had said Adeline or even Adalyn, nn Addy, I definitely would have voted for that. Both names have a similar feel as Emily/Emmaleigh to me,, as far as being somewhat popular names with a more old-fashioned sound, if that makes sense.

I think Addison makes a great name for a boy. It means "son of Adam". Lots of others disagree since it's becoming a popular girls' name.
As for Isabella, I dislike that one too. It's not that it's a bad name I'm just tired of it. Very popular.
If I HAD to choose one for a girl it would be Addison.
