Generally the name is just okay to me, but I really like it with your kids' names for some reason. Autumn Margaret is pretty.

I love it. I have a friend (grown woman) named Autumn & I think it's just an absolutely wonderful name.

Funny story though... we recently had our roof redone & after we decided on the shingles we wanted (Autumn Brown), the roofer called his office to order them. DH could overhear him on the phone saying, "I need 'ottoman brown'. What do you mean they don't have it? They've had it for years", etc. etc. My DH had to say to him, "Well, a lot of people say that word as "ah-tum". Maybe try that." LOL! He felt bad telling the guy that he was just saying it wrong.

Anyway, I'm sure 99% of people over age 8 know how to say it (unfortunately just not our roofer!).

I grew up with an Autumn who was teased incessently about having such a "sexy" name (hopefully I don't have to go into more detail here, but along the same lines as a grown woman named Summer Rain or something, KWIM?). I agree, the word has a nice sound, but I've heard this same association mentioned by others -- even here -- so it's not one I'd easily get over. At least not enough to want to use it myself.

Also, perhaps it's that same connection speaking, but it doesn't seem remotely as strong a choice as your other children's names. Especially having a sister named Reese! ;)

All that aside, I'm not that into AutuMargaret anyway, to be honest. Completely a personal preference -- like how I love Tatum but could NEVER use TatuMcCormick. Seems to take away from the beauty of the individual name(s) when they run together like that, sounding more like Autu Margaret and Tatu McCormick. LOL Not nearly as attractive together, KWIM?
