I am set on Ava, but I can't decide on anything to go with it. So Im considering a way to lengthen Ava and use it as a middle name (like Avalyn or Avaleine) but still call her Ava. Wdyt about these two, and does anybody know any other ways? Or any first names to go with them?

Ways to expand Ava:

Aviva - 'spring' in Hebrew
Avalon
Avondale
Avalene
Avriella
Aviara

First Names:
Jane - simple and goes great with any of the above
Catherine
Charlotte
Thalia

Besides those mentioned ...

Avonlea
Avery
Aveline

Be warned, though, that Ava is very popular (although I don't mind it as a nn for a less-common name).

Ava is pretty. That's why it's so popular. However, lengthening it doesn't change its popularity, if you call her Ava anyway. Calling a child by his/her mn tends to be a problem according to those I've talked to who go by a mn. If you love the name, I'd keep searching for a suitable mn to go with. It works very well as a double name which would distinguish her a bit from the possible repetition of the name among her friends/classmates.

I would do a very different, elegant mn to aid in avoiding her meeting her WHOLE name repeatedly...
