I am 31 weeks pregnant with identical twin girls. We really like the name Tatum as one of our names. For a few weeks the names that we have been going with are Tatum and Roary. I would like opinions and suggestions about these names and middle names. I also welcome any ideas for new names as well.
Names:
Tatum and Roary
Tatum and Brie
Tatum and Rossalyn/Rosslyn
Tatum and Georgia
Tatum and Gwendolyn/Gwyneth
Tatum and Brynn
Tatum and Burke
Middle names (these are family names):
Bliss (we are for sure using this name, but with who)
Dale
Gwyneth
Lea
Ratchford

I like Tatum and Roary for twins, but I think I prefer it spelled Rory, not sure!
How about:
Tatum Bliss and Roary Brynn
I like that!

My favorites from your list are Tatum and Rory (I get the 5-letter thing, if that's what you were going for with "Roary," but I think people are familiar enough with Rory and wouldn't accentuate the word "roar" in there), Gwyneth and Brynn. I also think Branwen would be a similar name that would make a great twin to Tatum.
Possible combos:
Tatum Bliss and Rory Gwyneth
Tatum Gwyneth and Rory Bliss (I like these both ways LOL)
Tatum Lea and Gwyneth Ratchford
Tatum Bliss and Brynn Ratchford
Tatum Bliss and Branwen Lea
I would definitely try to pair one of the more masculine names, like Rory, with one of the more feminine mns, like Bliss or Gwyneth, if possible.

Thank you for your input. Those are great ideas. I spelled Rory like this (Roary) because I thought it looked more feminine. Everything I look up on the internet says Rory is a mans name. :( I was trying to be creative but I keep getting the same opinion about it. Rory and not Roary.
Thank you! Jodi
I LOVE the combo Tatum and Rory!!! I think Gilmore Girls has made Rory acceptable as a girl's name, whatever the spelling. I guess if you truly wanted to spell it differently, I would go with Roery or Rorey as it doesn't accent "roar".
I like Tatum Bliss a lot! I like Rory Gwyneth or Lea best as they are more feminine. Another choice I like with Tatum is Greer. I like Greer Lea.
Good luck!

I like Tatum and Rory. I prefer Rory to Roary just b/c Roary makes me think of a lion(roar). For MN I would do Tatum Lea and Rory Bliss.

You know what, don't worry about "Rory" looking too masculine. Yes, in books and online it does come up more as a man's name, but the truth is, pop culture now labels "Rory" as a girls name. Tune into "Gilmore Girls" on WB on Tuesdays or on one of the cable channels 5 days a week to see a VERY feminine, pretty and cute twenty something, "Rory Gilmore" prance around onscreen. I LOVE the name Rory and knew a girl name Rory in HS. The Rory on Gilmore Girls is using Rory as a nickname for Lorelei, which I also think is adorable and extremly creative. Spelling is as "Roary" makes me very much picture hideous ementryschools screaming "ROAR LION ROAR! COme on ROARY, ROAR LIKE A LION SHOW US YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Don't go there....
