WDYT of Felicity?

I just started to like the name Felicity but DH shot it down. Last name starts with an S and I think it sounds really pretty with it.

Anyway, usually if I say the name out loud a few times, DH starts to like it. Do you think Felicity is too "long" since it is four syllables? I really don't like nns for this particular name (Fe, Liss, Tea, etc.). Also, any ideas on middle names?

I think it's a pretty name but it's too long for me unless you have a good nn option.

I absolutely LOVE Felicity. It's a long-time favorite of mine. I don't think it's too long at all. I would pair it with a short (1-2 syllables) name though, so that it doesn't get terribly long.

I like:

Felicity Jane
Felicity Charlotte
Felicity Kate
Felicity Adelle
Felicity Claire
Felicity Danae
Felicity Greer
Felicity Maeve
Felicity Pearl

I was never a big fan of this name, but it is starting to grow on me. I don't think it's too long. I mean, Elizabeth has 4 syllables, too, and I know Elizabeths who go by their full name. I don't think I would use a nickname for Felicity, just the whole name.

I LOVE the name Felicity! When I was a kid, the American Girls book/doll series came out, and was really popular...the Colonial-era girl was named Felicity, and her nn was Lissie. I always thought that was really cute.

Thank you for all of your suggestions! I have quite a few girl names on my list and this is one that DH is not very fond of .... but I think it's the kind of name that really has to grow on you!

So far, I really like:

Felicity Claire
Felicity Kate
Felicity Mae (Mae is a family name)

Huge Felicity fan, here! It has such a wonderful meaning too.

A simple, old name would go best here because Felicity is also an old name. It also deserves to shine. It doesn't need anything that will compete with it.
You could do a predictable mn which would, perhaps, warm your husband to it:

Felicity Ann
Felicity Jane
Felicity Rose

A little less predictable:
Felicity Ruth
Felicity Pearl
Felicity Ellen

Best wishes,
Ginger
