Over the laast month this name has really begun to appeal to me.

I think Skye is a wonderful name used for a girl. In fact, I had a neighbor girl named Sky, but I have never heard of anyone else using this name:)

My niece uses Skye as her first name. She is 19 years old now. Her name is actually Emelia Skye and she went by Emmy when she was young, but when she reached middle school she prefered Skye. It is a unique name and she never runs across anyone with the same name.

If you are worried that she might not like it when she is older you can maybe use it as the middle name with a more conservative first name like my niece has, or you can use it as her first name and give her a more conservative middle name she can choose to go by later if Skye doesn't fit her. Personally, I think it is a lovely name. :)

I really love your idea of Schuyler nn Skye. Love it! Love it!

The only drawback I have with Skye comes from my childhood... I had a friend named Skye, and she grew up to be 6'2'' !!! Irony. :)>

good luck. jonesy

My daughter is Sabrina Skye! I did consider using Skye as the first name, but I loved the name Sabrina. I do think Skye would sound great as a first name, and I am seeing it more often, there is a young pop singer Skye Sweetnam. I say go for it! Also seeing Skyla and Skylar a bit more often.

Good luck!

Skye is a unique and pretty name. It is not totally "out there" but a little different all the same. I think it also grows well with the child-cute for a little girl but pretty for an adult too. I have also seen it spelled Skai which seems a little more feminine to me and away from sky.

I think the name Skye is beautiful! It was on my list, and I still might use it as a mn.
My only concern is the older folks in the family that speak only spanish always change
names and I don't want them calling her cielito> cielo is sky in Spanish. Not that the name I've decided on will be easier, but atleast they can't convert it into Spanish. LOL** good luck Ps. I love Alexander (if I have a boy)that will be his mn.
