Thanks a bunch guys! I think this may finally be his name. The other option is/was Joshua Thomas Scott, which we really like b/c it is biblical but I am concerned how Josh Scott sounds...too many "s". Popularity is not a concern at all but Joshua is ranked # 2 in our state and in the top 5 nationally. Jackson on the other hand is not. Thanks again. Maybe this name will stick.

I do prefer Jackson to Joshua. I think you are right that Josh Scott can be a little tricky with the two S sounds. And popularity is really all about region. Jackson is terribly popular here, but it might not be nearly as popular where you are (as it seems, given the state rankings, etc). So I say go for it! And Jackson Thomas flows SO nicely. I think it's lovely.
