WDYT of the name Leo?

Hello,

We are having a baby in August and just discussing different names (we don't know the sex). DH and I both finally agreed that we liked Leo - we have a long, 4 syllable Italian last name ending in "o" and it is short and flows. Plus we think it is a strong name to go with our son Vincent (Vince). Just wanted to get some feedback on what people think of the name.

Thanks!

Erin

Thanks everyone for your responses. I am not sure about the last name ending in O... I guess it didn't stand out to me because my DH's uncle is Antonio and grandpa is Donato and other uncle is Gino... so the O combo is commen in his family. I think it would be more of a problem if the last name was short and had more similar sounds like.. but our last name ends in an O but there are no other O sounds in it. the last syllable is a "ko" sound. so leonardo dicaprio is actually worse because it has the "eo" sound at the end. I don't know... I"ll have to think about it :o)

I like it a lot! I know two Benjamins with the middle name Leo (live in two different parts of the country, how funny is that!! and I have thought is was cute since I heard those. It is a great first name, short, sweet, grows up well I think and sounds like it fits the bill for you! GOOD LUCK
