lol, I have no idea. Maybe it was spelled "Tru", like that show with Eliza Dushku that got cancelled. Either way, I wouldn't use it. It's definitely one of the more obscure virtue type names.

It's a virtue name. My friends used it as a second middle name for their son Willem. (All of their kids have virtue mns...Love, True, and I can't remember the last two at this hour of the morning.) I personally like it...but, then, I like my names to have some substance to them.

I like Tru as a nn for Truman (boy) and I can see it as a nn for Gertrude (but I'd never name anybody Gertrude).

Guadalupe and Jesus are Hispanic names; Guadalupe is a girl's name, pronounce "gwahd-a-loo-pay." Jesus is a boy's name, and is pronounced "hay-zoos."

Yep! It's an understandable mistake, though; if you don't have a very large Hispanic population in your area (I live in Texas), you probably don't hear it very often, so a lot of Caucasians mistake it for the biblical Jesus.

And actually, even in biblical times, the name Jesus was pretty much the equivalent of the names Aidan or Alex today...VERY common.
