One of my freinds sons is named Riley Joseph. I really like the name Ryley for a girl. Ryley Josephine is what my boyfreind likes. Would it be too wrong to use something just like my best friend's sons name?

If this is a good friend of yours, I think it would be a VERY bad idea to use a name so similar to the one your friend just used. It would be confusing and your friend is likely to feel that you "stole" her name. It's not worth ruining a friendship when there are so many other great names out there.

I do like Josephine a lot. Maybe you could use Josephine Riley and call her Josie? (I'd

My opinion would be yes, that would be on the weird side.

It may be more confusing than anything. If you are that good of friends and spend a lot of time together I think everyone will be confused...both of you calling for Riley/Ryley. Have you considered:

Kylie
Myley/Mylie
Shylie
...if it's the sound of "iley" that you like. It still may be similiar but not as confusing.

Other name ideas:

Haley
Ryanne
Shyanne
Shaeli
Ava
Emery
Sydney
Savannah
Paige
Brynn

Good luck!

I think that is fine as long as you don't take the name before your friends baby is born which happened to me. I told my friend the girl name I picked out and she stole it.

I wouldn't do it personally, but that doesn't mean its wrong. How do you think she would react?

You guys are helping me out alot!! Thanks....but I personally love the name Josephine, but I also love Meghan, Breanna, Avery, and Kylie. Can you think of any ways that I can use any of these names with my daughter?

***As far as my friend's son, she is okay with it, because it is a girl. But it is so close to Riley Joesph(Ryley Josephine) and I have no clue what to do. PLEASE HELP ME!

Considering it is a close friend of yours, I think the names would be too close or in your words, "too wrong". What about Rilyn??

Good Luck!
