We're Having Another Boy!

We found out today that we are having our 3rd boy. Everyone is excited to be adding another male to the house and I'm still the only female, which may be a good thing, lol. We're not too sure about a name but I think we're going to continue our pattern, a name that ends in 'an' and a 'R' mn because this may be our last child.

That's so weird, Terra ... I was just thinking about you today. Glad to hear all is well, and congrats on boy #3. ;)

Have you gotten the standard "Awww. Were you hoping for a girl?" reactions yet, or do people generally reserve that for the all-girl families? LOL

I won't be posting my ideas for names because I don't want my sister to know them until this little guy comes out. The name we had picked out for a girl was Calista Raine. We did have Zane Elliott picked out for a boy but we're not sold on it.

Glad to know someone was thinking of me. :)

I have gotten a few comments such as:

"Were you disappointed?" - by my mother

"Is Terra okay with that?" - by my mother-in-law

"Awww, that sucks" - by my sister-in-law

"But I wanted it to be a girl" - yelled by my oldest son, the youngest one kinda pouted about the news

Yes, we were kinda hoping for a girl but we're excited to have another boy. I'm not disappointed that this is a boy but I'm a little disappointed at the fact I may never have a little girl. Oh, and the string and needle trick, it's wrong, lol, for me anyhow.

Darn it! That was my shot at a boy (or at least predicted I'd talk dh into one more hehe).

I completely know what you mean, though. Couldn't be happier to be having another baby -- no matter the gender -- but kind of feel like you'll never get the chance to do all the "girly" stuff (or vice versa, in my case).

If you'd like a laugh, when my grandmother found out we were having another girl (I think with Aila ... it's all a blur now LOL), she actually said to my husband, "Oh ... well you'll love it anyway, once she's here." :( You know, as if he couldn't possibly bring himself to love another little girl, and she had to reassure him. ROFL Nice, Nan.

Congrats again! ;)

Congratulations! I'm so excited for you. And of course I can't wait to see what name you choose! Keep us updated on the pregnancy, even if you can't share your names until your little one is born.

Congratulations, Terra, that's wonderful! Three boys...you are living my dream. :) I think it's a really special thing to be queen in a house of blue.

I think continuing your -an fn with an R- mn is a good idea. It's a way to tie all names together without using the same first initial. Is your sister pg as well? Is that why you're keeping your choices secret? If so, probably a smart idea.

Thanks, Annie. I haven't been around this board in awhile but I haven't forgotten it and the people here. My pregnancy has been okay. The first few months were rough with nausea 24/7 but once that was gone it actually has been a breeze (I hope typing that didn't jinx it, lol). The baby is active and kicking but not near as much as Ethan and Logan. He is measuring a bit bigger than where I'm at. I'm hoping this one isn't my biggest yet, Logan was 8 lbs. 14 oz. at 6 days early. I will be having a planned c-section as I've already had 2. My edd is July 14 but we've tentatively booked the c-section for July 6. I've been tired but that's to be expected. Oh, and I'm dying for some nice weather to get out and do some walking in. :)
