We've picked these...just running them

Hi...In my family everyone has two middle names so we have decided to continue this tradition into it's fourth generation...The sex of our baby is a surprise and we have chosen not to run the names by our family members except I did tell my mom...She likes them...Let me know what you think!

Boy-Aedan Austin John Albright
Girl-Elizabeth "Libby" Rose Arnette Albright

Austin is the name of my sister's husband who was killed in a car accident in October and John is my DH's father

Elizabeth was my great-grandmother, Rose is my maternal grandmother and Arnette is my paternal grandmother

Please let me know what you think...I know Aedan has gotten quite popular but where we live no one has heard of it and it was the only boy's name Dad and I agreed on

Love the choices, Libby is my favorie nn for Elizabeth. I don't like the spelling of Aedan though, I think it will trip people up. Aidan or Aiden both would be a better choice IMO. I think that creative spellings on girls are silly and are alomst embarassing on a boy's name.

Why did you spell Aidan that way? It looks silly, and since there aren't many Aidans in your area, there's really no reason to misspell it, is there?

I don't mind the other names, although neither Austin nor Arnette are my style. If it were me, I would try to find names that were close in form or meaning, or use a middle or even last name in lieu of them. For instance, my great-grandmother's maiden name is Whittington, which I may use as a middle name for my son or daughter, or I may shorten it to Whitt.

In terms of the 4 name situation: do you really think that's a good idea? What will s/he do about filling in his or her name on standardized test forms? And, what about the monogram? I love monograms on little girl diaper bags and dress collars, but if she has two middle names, it will be impossible.

Just some thoughts. I love Aidan (NOT Aeden...looks like it would be pronounced either Eden or Adden). Also, Libby is my favorite nickname for Elizabeth.

I really like both. You can tell that you put alot of thought into both names. I haven't heard of too many kids named Aedan to be honest, I wouldn't think twice about it being too popular. Gail
