What do you think about Kalen for a boy? I have had two different people suggest it to me and I like it, but I am wondering if it sounds too much like a girls name.

Well. I'm on the fence about this one. Just looking at it, it's nice. But hearing it, it sounds more feminine (Kaylynn, for example).

Have you thought about Kaden? just something similar to Kalen but decidedly male.

Good luck

Kalen could work, but it does seem like it might blend in a bit with all the Kaylas, Kaylyns, etc. What about something kind of similar, like Kieran or Keegan? Or maybe Keaton or Caleb?

I don't think it even sounds like a name, to be honest. But if forced to hazard a guess, I'd wager there are plenty of little girls called Kaylynne or somesuch about.

I think that Kalen sounds more like a girls name so here are some ideas for names with that sort of sound:

Kaden, Keiran, Caleb, Cullen, Colin, Carlin, Calder, Corbin, Kael/Cale,

Hope this helps.

I've heard it for a girl, but I think it works on either.

I taught a boy named Kalon.........he'd be second or third grade by now. Had a brother namd Nakota because he was born in North Dakota, but they didn't like the popularity of Dakota. That one'd be in first or Kinder now. It's not my style, particularly for a boy, but that's just me!

Sounds like Kay-lynn to me, so that would be more feminine. HTH

It's a girls name to me but probably because the ones I know w/this name are girls! (one is a baby and one is a grown woman)
