What are "real names"...

Someone posted out of the names on my poll that only the name Caroline was a "real name" and I was just wondering what that meant.

Sorry for being in a fog,

Frankly, I don't think that it's you that's in a fog. I went back and looked at your list and the only name on it that I don't really care for is Liberty, but that's personal preference, not that it isn't a "real" name. I thought maybe you had some really way out names (made up like "Allijosie" or something) or all nicknames, but that wasn't the case. I wouldn't worry about it - you had very nice names on your list.

Good luck,

Pat

They probably meant it was a classic name that's been around for some time. Some people nowadays (& for all times, really) make up a name or alter a name's spelling to make it unique so maybe the posted feels that those aren't "real".

LOL well I was pretty baffled by that post too! A lot of people don't have the same taste in names and some of those people just don't know how to say it nicely :) I wouldn't worry any about that!
