I really should wait for a couple of weeks after my U/S (Hopefully) tells me if we will need to find another boys name, or if we get to pick a girls name, but I'd like to get your ideas and thoughts. I have two DS now (Owen and Wyatt). I think I'd prefer to stay away from one-syllable names, and while I like alot of names that begin with an "s" sound or have a heavy "s" in the name, I think it becomes too much with our last name (Seth Smith, Reese Smith). Like everyone else, I'd like to find a name that isn't ultra popular or trendy. Some names I've been toying with are listed below. Suggestions and other names that seem to fit in style with my others names are appreciated!
Girls:
Genevieve (nn Evie)
Adeline (nn Adie)
Edie (any ideas for names to use Edie as nn, other that Edith?)
Lila
Cecelia
Delaney
Lorelei
Avery
Boys:
Carson
Elliot/Eli
Liam
Ian
Jude
Maddox
Boys names are so hard for me!!!!
TIA!

Girls:
Genevieve (nn Evie) -- I think this name is pretty, but be forewarned, I think it's about to shoot up in popularity. Ava and Eva are VERY popular already, and parents are starting to look for alternatives that sounds similar but aren't as popular yet. Look for Evelyn, Genevieve and Evangeline to start making big gains in the next year or two.
Adeline (nn Adie) -- love it, though I'd spell it Addie to reinforce the pronounciation.
Edie -- very sweet. It could also be a nn for Eden.
Lila -- very pretty. The Lily names (Lily, Lilly, Lillie, Lilian, etc) are very popular right now though. She might get lumped in with those.
Cecelia -- pretty, but I prefer Cecily.
Delaney -- a bit trendy, but I really like this name. It's a guilty pleasure for me. I think it sounds really nice with Owen and Wyatt.
Lorelei -- okay. I'm getting sick of this one already. It's not all that popular yet, but it's definitely climbing and I'm already tired of it.
Avery -- cute but very popular/trendy. Not a favorite.
Boys:
Carson -- okay, pretty trendy. But a nice match with Owen and Wyatt.
Elliot/Eli -- Love it. I also like Elijah and think that would be a good match with your boys.
Liam -- love it, great with Owen and Wyatt
Ian -- Love it. My #2 pick for
Hi!
Girls:
Genevieve (nn Evie) - I really like this one. There do seem to be a lot of Evies though with Evelyn and Eva, but I don't think it's overly popular.
Adeline (nn Adie) This I love! It's so cute. There may be a few Addisons nn Addie popping up, but I so much prefer the more classic Adeline. Very nice!
Edie (any ideas for names to use Edie as nn, other that Edith?) - Like this nn a lot (but only as a nn). You could use Eden as a full name.
Lila - this is gorgeous! It's fresh and cute but will also age well. My favorite on your list.
Cecelia - this i great too. I prefer the Cecilia spelling though. I also like Celia and Cecily.
Delaney - this is cute but seems a little trendy to me.
Lorelei - this is nms.
Avery - this is nms.
Boys:
Carson - this is nice.
Elliot/Eli - I like this a lot! very handsome and not seen too much.
Liam - this is OK imo.
Ian - this is nice.
Jude - this is very nice.
Maddox - this seems very trendy to me because I'd never heard it before Angelina Jolie's son and now I'm seeing it more often.
My favorite boy's name is Elliot nn Eli.
I think Lila and Eli both go really well with Owen and Wyatt! My second choices are Adeline and Jude.
A few other ideas:
Amelia
Camilla
Eliza
Pippa
Annabel
Clara
Lydia
Nora
Linnea
Camille
Louisa
Ivy
Gavin
Carter
Mason
Julian
Porter
Oliver
Simon
Trevor
Brooks
Nathan/Nathaniel nn Nate
Girls:
Genevieve (nn Evie)- love this name
Adeline (nn Adie)- also love this I think it might sound better with your boys names compared to Genevieve
Edie (any ideas for names to use Edie as nn, other that Edith?)- I like this too haha.. I actually know an Edie and thats her full name. Shes in her 30's and I think it actually ages well as a real name.
Lila- I like this but I think its going along with all the lily's right now.
Cecelia- like. and has lots of nn potentials that I like, cece, celia, lia...
Delaney- doesnt compare to the other girl names
Lorelei- not crazy about it
Avery- to unisex sounding compared to the other names.
So my favorites in order
Genevieve (nn Evie)- This one's okay, but not a favorite. I prefer Evelyn, nn Evie.
Adeline (nn Adie)- I like this, but Addie is a common nn for Addison these days. Might be confusing.
Edie (any ideas for names to use Edie as nn, other that Edith?)- Don't care for this much.
Lila - Pretty
Cecelia - like this a lot
Delaney - I like this one too and think it matches well with Owen and Wyatt
Lorelei - NMS
Avery - too unisex
Boys:
Carson - like it. Matches well with Owen and Wyatt.
Elliot/Eli - ditto
Liam - don't care for this.
Ian - like it, but it's very close to Owen.
Jude - okay
Maddox - too trendy
Girls:
Genevieve (nn Evie)-- This is one I'm not fond of....drips of "Frenchness." Prefer Evie as a nn for Evelyn.
Adeline (nn Adie)--not my fav. Prefer Adelaide.
Edie (any ideas for names to use Edie as nn, other that Edith?)-- love Edie!!! but think Edith is the only name it goes with.
Lila-- nice, old fashioned, southern-sounding
Cecelia-- prefer Cecily
Delaney-- very popular! I know 3!
Lorelei-- cute!
Avery-- popular!
Like Edie, Lorelei or Lila best
Boys:
Carson-- like
Elliot/Eli--love
Liam--love
Ian--love
Jude--love
Maddox--don't like
Think Eliiot/Eli works best with your other boys names. Liam and Jude are my second choices.
I think boys' names are hard too!
Girls:
Like Cecilia (nn CeCe) and Delaney (nn Laney)
Boys:
Like Eli
Good luck!
