When I first read the name I thought it was some sort of funky spelling for Colleen. If you say it quick it sounds like 'colon' to me, sorry but that's what I hear. I think a better spelling would make it look nicer and get pronounced the way it should.
Personally, I wouldn't use a name like this. Ever. But if you're serious about it, perhaps you should spell it Kolynne. The way you've spelled it looks like it would be pronounced ko-LYNE.
I wasn't sure if it was a "variation" of Colleen or Colin (from the spelling of your pronunciation, I'm assuming this is for a girl?). If so, perhaps Colline, Coline, Colinne (think Corinne ... I knew a girl with this spelling and everyone pronounced it correctly - co-RYNN) or even Collyn or Colynn would be more direct and look more feminine. The Kollyne spelling just seems to follow the trendy K-spelling for a boy name used for a girl thing that's been so popular lately. With the C spelling, I think people would see it as a form of Colleen (but get you the -lyn ending pronunciation you'd like, KWIM?). Of those I've mentioned, I think Colinne would work best, perhaps because I think people might relate it to Corinne and pronounce the ending as you'd prefer.
I went to college with a girl named Kollyne and never thought twice about it back then. It's not up there on my list, but I thought I'd see what your reaction was.
This name just is not good. Sorry, it looks like a bad spelling of Colleen. With the pronounciation of it it makes me think of colon. I wouldn't use it.
At first I couldn't figure out if it was a kreativ spelling for Colleen or Collin, then I thought maybe it was supposed to be pronounce koh-line. So I opened this out of curiousity and was very surprised to see the co-LYNN explanation. It does remind me of colon and I NEVER would have gotten the pronounciation right. I'm just not a fan of this name on any level. Sorry.
