Definitely don't use another state's name! She is a new, individual person, not a continuation in a matching set!

I'm not a fan of names that are too matchy, so I vote no on Montana. (For that reason, and because of Hannah Montana).

I LOVE the name Georgia. It's a beautiful classic that is recognizable, yet unique. Absolutely fabulous. My fear is that if you choose another state name (Carolina, Virginia, Montana, etc) you will cheapen this wonderful name. Instead of sounding fresh and unique, it sounds trendy and cutesy because it's part of a matched set.

Think about it for a minute. Do you really, truly love the name Montana? If you didn't already have a daughter named Georgia, would Montana be the name for you? Or are you only considering it because you think they make a cute set?

Choose the best, most beautiful name you can think of for your new daughter. Don't just give her a state name because you think you have to or because you want her to match her sister. She is a unique individual and she deserves a name chosen just for her.

There are lots of great names out there that "go" wonderfully with Georgia without matching. Maybe you want another classic like Charlotte or Sadie. Maybe you'd rather have an old-fashioned but spunky name like Mae or Beatrix. Or maybe you like Southern names like Scarlett or Adair.

Ditto this. I'm not really into naming kids as if they were a bunch of Precious Moments figurines that all have a theme. It does, as Annie said, detract from the beauty of the individual names.

I agree with PPs - 2 state names would be too cutesy IMO.
