Yes, I knew of a college-age girl with this name. She graduated a few years ago, so she must be in her mid-twenties by now.

I'm not really a fan of the name at all- it's really NMS. It sounds too cutesy and very Irish and/or surnamish to me, and I don't really like those styles...

I do like it - for a girl. I don't know anyone with that name, but I have had it on my list for each of my 2 children.

I think of it as a girl's name, and I don't care for it much.

My first thoughts are of the Kinsey Report on human sexuality, and of Kinsey Millhone, the female detective from Sue Grafton's popular "A is for Alibi" series of mysteries. I think Grafton also has a granddaughter named Kinsey--named after her grandma's character, not vice versa.

I don't really like it, it sounds too cutesy and juvenile. Also the Kinsey sex reports are too closely linked for my tastes. It is not an obscure reference, go and Google the name Kinsey and probably the first 100 results will be about Alfred Kinsey and his research.
