What do you think of Ayla? pronounced like Kayla without the K.

I love it but since it's not so popular I don't know what the perception of the name would be.
I'm thinking Ayla Jane or Ayla Kathlyn. Jane & Kathlyn are my mother & godmothers names)

Tell me your honest opinion of that and the others I have listed below...baby girl is due in May.

Also like
Casey Anna ( Anna is grandmothers name)
Sydnie Anna
Ella Jane or Ella Kathlyn
Rachel Anna
Lindsay Anna
Jayne Anna or Jayne Kathlyn

Thanks!! :)

I love the name Ayla. I even know a girl with the name. If you love it, you should use it.

I love the name Ayla! (Obviously LOL ... we're using Aila - pronounced the same - as a nn from the end of Abigail since Abby is so popular right now). Almost everyone we've mentioned the name to really seems to like it (even though we often have to explain "where we got it" LOL), so I think it would get a really good reception. It's simple and feminine and a bit old-fashioned sounding (think Lila and other similar-sounding names, KWIM?). Plus, while it has a similar sound to more familiar names - Kayla, as you mentioned, for one - it doesn't have that "trendy" quality a lot of them seem to have. Definitely a keeper! ;)

I definitely think it has more "character" (don't know what word to put there LOL) than your other fn choices, and of the two mns you listed with it I like Ayla Jane a bit better. The two shorter names kind of make it seem even more old-fashioned, in my mind. Also, while Kathlyn is fine, I think the Ys are throwing me off a bit. Ayla Kathleen might work a bit better, but I don't know if you're open to any variations so I'll stick with my vote for Ayla Jane ... adorable! :)

I think Ayla Jane is beautiful. I do prefer it spelt Aila though. Jane too is a beautiful name. From your list, I also like Casey.

I've heard of Ayla before. I think it's different. I wouldn't use it myself but do think it's a pretty name.

Ayla may sound a little too made up, or that you're trying too hard to do something different. The name Rachel is beautiful. My friend just named her newborn daughter Rachel Louise. Suggestions for you with the names you like:

Anna Rachel

or

Rachel Anne

Lindsay Anne

or instead of Ayla/Kayla, how about Kaylin or Kaitlin/Caitlin? Since you like Rachel, Rebecca is another pretty biblical name. Best of luck to you!

I like Ayla. A couple of years ago I had an Ayla in my class. She was energetic. I also like Ella Jane.

I like Ayla and think Ayla Jane sounds great. Ayla Brown is one of the final 24 on American Idol! LOL!
