I LOVE the name Spencer and think the nn Spence is adorable. We had it on our long list til we decided to go with my Dh's Irish roots for a fn instead. HTH's =)

I'm sorry, this is one I can't get into. It's my neighbors dog's name (a little scrappy white thing that looks like Spuds McKenzie lol), so this is what I think of when I hear that name. I've also known at least half a dozen other doggy Spencers. :(
As a middle name, I think it's still cute, but I couldn't use it as a fn.
LOL, I just posted a thread right before I read your 1st post with Dh and I's short list. The discussion title is Just Curious...What do you think? I found a lot of the names at babynamesofireland.com and it is great because not only does it spell out the pronunciations it will say them aloud. How cool!! If you are exploring irish baby names it is well worth the time to look. It doesn't have a ton of names yet but the ones they have are great.
