My dh came up with the name Taleila (tah-lay-lah) and i'm not too sure if i like it or not. I need some outside input:) If you do like it, maybe offer some middle names. Idk if we should go with an exotic mn or "normal".( mine is Ann and family nm is Mae)LMK. Thanks a bunch:)!!!

IMO, the name is too much, because I wouldn't have any idea how to pronounce it just looking at it. There are so many possibilities of how you could say it. Maybe you could spell it Talayla?

Good luck!

Hi there, Tiffany. Props to your dh for trying, but Taleila is just too much. Making up names is not the best way to go, imo. What do you think of Tallulah or Tallula? It's said Tah-loo-luh, rather than Tah-lay-luh. I think it's lovely! If that doesn't spark your fancy, perhaps Talia? Both of those are great choices. Hope this helps!

I have to agree with the pps, I think it's too much. I think most people wouldn't know how to pronounce it, and to me it definitely sounds made up as opposed to just unique. I really like Talia though, that might be a good alternative. I also like Leila, Lilah, Lily, Tessa and Matilda (nn Tilly or Tilda maybe) if you would like something with similar sounds that it's quite so out there.

I actually think it has a very pretty sound although the spelling is confusing. Maybe Talayla would be better? It's only a step away from Tallulah, too, so maybe you'd like that.

Other names that have a similar sound/feel...
Michaela/Makayla
Natalia
Maleah/Malea
Tatiana
Kiara
Sienna
Leila/Layla
Lorelei
Adriana/Adrianna
Melina

I personally like to use a family name as a mn, so I'd try to find something I liked that went well with the fn. I don't think that fn and mn necessarily need to have a matching style. So Talayla Mae sounds just fine to me.

Good luck making a decision!

Hi,
I'm with the majority here that the names sounds ghetto and made up. If you want some open suggestions try:
Thalia (the name of Tommy Mottola's wife)
Talisa (as in Benjamin Bratt's model wife)
Trina
Trisha
Tyrina
Taylor
Twyla

Good luck,
Jai

I like it but it would be hard for most people to pronounce and I cant think of any middle names to go with it ¬!¬
