I think we decided on a boy's name, but I am not sure about the alliteration. I love the name Asher, and then it turns out that it was DH's grandfather's name, neither one of us knew since he went by a different name.

Asher Aaron sounds a little choppy. I read in one of the name books that it's best to vary the syllables of the first and last names. The two As don't help. I'm also having trouble with it because I just don't "get" Asher. I know now that it's from the Old Testament, but I've never run into it (Boston area). It reminds me of the singer Usher and also of Ashley. It just doesn't have nice sound to my ears. Sorry!

I think Asher Aaron is a bit too heavy on the 'a' and 'r' sounds. I think Asher Maxwell sounds fine though.

Have you considered using Asher as a middle name? Something like James Asher Aaron flows better.

However, if you and your DH love Asher, use it. I've seen and heard worse combinations. Good luck.

Yea, I think Asher Aaron doesn't flow very well... It sounds more like you are saying his first & middle names. Maxwell Asher Aaron is nicer; do you like Max? GL~

I personally think it sounds fine. Asher is a very nice name and its not very often that you get called by your first and last name together anyway. When I got married, my last name clashed horribly with my first name, but it doesn't matter because I'm just called Becky, know what I mean? Good luck to you!

you've got to say it without the Maxwell in there - Asher Aaron. I just don't think it sounds good together - sorry.
