My big thing is not having the same number of syllables in each of one's names. This from someone who's got 2 syllables in her first, middle, and last names (at least the stress in my middle name is not the same!)
So I think Greta would go well with a one-syllable or 3+-syllable middle name.
That's my crusade, then: contrast in the number of syllables!
Greta Ainsley Greta Brielle Greta Charisse Greta Camille Greta Kwyn Greta Raine Greta Monet Greta Scarlet Greta Fallon Greta Adelyn Greta Braelyn Greta Camelyn
I just love the name Greta, its got so much great character. It's right up there with Gretchen for me. Two of my absolute favorites. As for middle names, I like the feel of an equally strong middle name, with a little softer sound, here's some ideas...
Greta Alexandra Greta Beth Greta Renee Greta Annelise Greta Anne Greta Liese Greta Lenore Greta Simone
But it really does depend on how it flows with your last name.
