Hello!

My husband and I are having our first baby this June and we found out last week that we are having a girl! We just started the name game and one name that came up was "Larkin". There used to be a show on television called Invasion and one of the female

I kind of like Larkin, usually not a style I like, but I do.

Prefer Juliet over Julia.

I prefer simply "Lark"...it breaks away from the current surname trend. But Larkin's not bad...it's just I grew up with a family of Larkins and that's what I think of at first blush.

I like it. It sounds happy. Plus, she probably won't be one of 3 in her classes.

I'm hearing Larkin more and more lately - in discussions, though; I haven't met any Larkins yet in real life. I want to like it, but I just can't get into it. I guess the surnames just don't do anything for me, unless they have some kind of meaning for the family, e.g., mom's maiden name, relative's/friend's/inspirational figure's surname. On a scale of 1 to 10, it's a 3 or 4 for me. I much prefer Lark. But that's just me - if you love this name, of course, that's what matters most.

I think it sounds like it's either a surname or it's made up. It also sound like it ought to be an adjective ("larking"). Julia is very pretty though!

I tend to prefer more traditional names but I really like Larkin. I wonder if your dh would do Larkin Julia? Larkin has a nice fresh sound to me.

Yeah, I'm not 100% sold on Larkin, but I don't hate it either. My husband seems to like it though. We both like the name "Chloe". I think it's adorable, but we have a dog named Zoe! I mean, how confusing and goofy would that be?

hmm...I like Larkin, this is the first time I've heard it. Larkin reminds me of the name Lyra, which I find charming.

Possible sibs could be - Briar, Ivy, Weston.

Brooke
