What do you think of Nya

My husband loves the name Nya (we are having a girl) and I think it is beautiful too. The problem though is that we have a nephew who is 11 years old named Noah. He lives 3 hours away. Do you think the names are too similar? I'm not sure if we should use it. We don't have many other ideas and only 2 1/2 months to go. We'd like to use the name Judith for a middle name (named after his grandmother). We prefer names that are not in the top 20 and that are not gender neutral. Also, our last name ends in "in" so many names do not sound right.

Any suggestions?

I like Nya. It's different. But if you are worried about Noah, which I don't think you should be, you could try Mya. Good Luck.

I would definitely not use Nyla. Nylabone is a kind of dog toy. It also reminds me of nylon.

I know a Nyah and I've always thought it was very pretty and not popular at all. I wouldn't even worry about your nephews name, I don't think it matters since she's a girl.

I don't care for Nya - like the other person said, it reminds me of a Nyabone dog chew "Nylon" toy.

There are pretier names out there...like Leah, and Loraleigh and Lydia...

Sorry ;-(

The chew toy is actually Nylabone, not Nyabone. I really like Nya, I know a woman in her early 30's who spells her name this way. She doesn't seem to have any difficulty with pronunciation etc.
