what do you think of these names?

Hi All,
DF and I come from large families were most of the "good" names are already taken, or a name very similar to one we like

I've always loved Xander. Noel is alright, I think Noelle as a girl's MN would be great with the French LN. Not a fan of the others.
Is Oscar really getting popular? Wow.
F - Fay (female)-- Not a fan of this one, although I like Faith (popular, I know)
G - Gabe (male) (not sure of this one, as Gabe is "different" but Gabriel is pretty popular right now) I like Gabriel, NN Gabe...OR Gabriella
G - Gillian (female)--Is this Gill-ee-un OR Jill-ee-un?? Either way, not my style.
N - Noel (either, I prefer female) I think Noelle is BEAUTIFUL, and definitely girl!
O - Oscar (male) (I REALLY like this one, but it's also getting more and more popular) I just can't see a baby Oscar.
P - Paxton (either, I prefer male) Cute!
P - Pierce (either, I prefer male) Yes, boy... and it's cute.
a "U" name, I can't think of any, but it's one of the letters we're considering so any suggestions would be great.
X - Xander (male) I like this one, you could also spell it Zander.
Y - Yvonne (female) It's okay.
Z - Zanna (female) (I like this, the meaning is Lily) Never heard it before, but I like it!!
I REALLY like Zanna Noelle... AND Xander Gabriel
Other F names: Finley, Francesca, Falon, Felicia, Fletcher, Foster
Other N names: Nadia, Natosha, Natalie, Natalia, Neven, Neva, Nevia,
Other O names: Ontavia, Octavia, Otto, Owen, Oakley, Olicia, Omarian
Other U names: Uriah,
Other X names: Xavier,
Other Z names: Zara,
Hi there, Elissa. Here are my thoughts on your list:
F - Fay (female) -This is really not my favourite, but it's not awful.
G - Gabe (male) (not sure of this one, as Gabe is "different" but Gabriel is pretty popular right now) -Oh, I like this one a lot! Gabriel/Gabe is fairly popular, but it's a great name none the less. Gabriel could be a sweet & sensitive little boy, & it could be shortened to Gabe for a rugged little guy.
G - Gillian (female) -Lovely! Props to you for using this spelling. I think that G makes it look very soft. I love the way this name rolls off the tounge.
N - Noel (either, I prefer female) -I don't care for this for a girl, but I like it for a boy pronounced to rhyme w/Joel. Are you pronouncing this No-elle for a girl? If so, I'd suggest spelling it Noelle. It looks more feminine that way, in my opinion.
O - Oscar (male) (I REALLY like this one, but it's also getting more and more popular) -I like this too. It's very cool sounding, & not popular at all as far as I know.
P - Paxton (either, I prefer male) -This is not my style, but it's okay. I definitly perfer it for a boy.
P - Pierce (either, I prefer male) -I really like this for a boy. It's very smart & handsome sounding. It's way too masculine for a girl though.
a "U" name, I can't think of any, but it's one of the letters we're considering so any suggestions would be great. -Ulysess for a boy or Unity for a girl is all I've got. I like Ulysses nn Uly.
X - Xander (male) -This is kind of nice, but I perfer it as a nn for Alexander. What about Xavier?
Y - Yvonne (female) -I don't care much for this one. Do you like Yasmine or Yasmina?
Z - Zanna (female) (I like this, the meaning is Lily)-Interesting. It's not bad, & that is a sweet meaning.
Hope this helps!
here are my opinions on the names you have - plus my suggestions for some other names of those letters
F - Fay (female) - very passe - haven't heard that on anyone for years and years - how about Felicity or Faith for a girl; only boy F I like is Forrest
G - Gabe (male) (not sure of this one, as Gabe is "different" but Gabriel is pretty popular right now) - can't stand this for either one; nn Gabby for a girl is awful. How about Garrett, Gavin, Gregory, Griffin, or Granger for a boy.
G - Gillian (female) - I like this better spelled Jillian, but Gillian is OK. I like the name a lot. Other girl Gs: Gisele, Gisa, Gianna, Gretchen
N - Noel (either, I prefer female) - Noelle for a girl is great; Noel for a boy is weird. really old.
O - Oscar (male) (I REALLY like this one, but it's also getting more and more popular) it is: Oscar, getting popular. I don't know any little boys named Oscar and I wouldn't want to - between Oscar the Grouch on Sesame St and Oscar from the Odd Couple (maybe you're too young for that one, but yuck. Other Os: Owen, Oliver for a boy, Olivia, Odessa for a girl
P - Paxton (either, I prefer male) P - Pierce (either, I prefer male) - these are both much too last-namey sounding: Preston, Parker for a boy; Piper for a girl; Peyton for either boy or girl
a "U" name, I can't think of any, but it's one of the letters we're considering so any suggestions would be great. There are no U names that I would even consider.
X - Xander (male) - NO
Y - Yvonne (female) - kinda passe- like from the 50s. how about Yanna.
Z - Zanna (female) (I like this, the meaning is Lily) - Zanna's isn't bad. It would have to be a last resort though I think. What's wrong with Zoe? unless your family has a Chloe, which rhymes. I've known a Zina and a Zeyno with Zs. The Zina is OK, the Zeyno was always kinda strange I thought
good luck.
good luck

Most of these names are nmsaa but I thought I would throw them out there to give you ideas. HTH. Kt
I think this is a great way to start to identify possibilities.
My thoughts:
F - Fay (female) - I think this one is OK, but you'd need a great middle name to keep it from sounding too plain. I would also suggest Felicia, Frances, Fallon
G - Gabe (male) (not sure of this one, as Gabe is "different" but Gabriel is pretty popular right now) - I like Gabe, but it does sound like a nickname to me. Other possibilities - George, Garrett
G - Gillian (female) - I really like Gilian, if pronounce with a J sound. Other suggestions - Georgia, Gayle, Glenda
N - Noel (either, I prefer female) - I like Noelle for a girl, but Noel is good for a boy. Other N names for boys - Noah, Nigel, Neal, for girls - Nancy, Nina, Nora
O - Oscar (male) (I REALLY like this one, but it's also getting more and more popular)
P - Paxton (either, I prefer male) - I'd go with male only. Other names for boys - Patterson, Patrick, Preston
P - Pierce (either, I prefer male) - same as with Paxton - I can't picture this for a girl. Other P girl names - Patricia/Patrice, Peyton, Polly, Peggy
a "U" name, I can't think of any, but it's one of the letters we're considering so any suggestions would be great. - There's always Ulysses!
X - Xander (male) - Not my style
Y - Yvonne (female) - Depends on the pronounciation - I prefer E-vonne or Yuh-vonne. Some people pronounce it Why-vonne, which I don't care for at all.
Z - Zanna (female) (I like this, the meaning is Lily) - I like this one even though it's not really my style, espeically since Lily itself is so popular. Zelda or Zoe are the only other two Z names I can come up with and neither really do much for me.
Good luck!
