I finally found the names I love! But just curious as to what kinds of kids have the following names:

Genevieve Paige (Evie) and Bennett Charles (Ben)

This should be fun!
Thanks!

Love the names!!

Genevieve Paige-- makes me think that she will be creative. (artist, painter, poet) long brown hair, kind of shy. Evie grows up to be an advertising executive and now uses her full name of Genevieve.

Bennett Charles--Very smart boy. Into books more than sports. Will be a rich man.

** you know that I read that the way you name a child will have an impact on what they become. I mean, you never see a model named Bertha, or a HUGE body builder named Herbie. Take a look at your local school. Most of the cheerleaders have the same style names. The "smart" group all have sophisticated names. And at rodeos, cowboys have "cowboy" names, and the motocross gang have edgy names. Not saying that this is A SURE THING ( I am sure I will get some arguments with this one) But I think it is great that you are concerned with this. I think you have 2 great choices though.

Thanks, Luckyduck!
Yes, I am obsessed with giving the "perfect" names for that reason! I think these are pretty versatile, so that's one of the reasons I really like them!

Excellent names!

Genevieve (I prefer the full name to the nickname) is attractive, well-rounded, smart, literary, popular, and good-natured.

Bennett is smart, successful, and handsome -- but watch out, he can be very moody. (As an adult, I imagine him becoming a ruthless businessman.)

I love the names that you have picked out! They are great and I also agree that names play a part in what the child is like in life. But I wanted to mention one other thing to you when naming your litte one. When they are in kindergarten they will be expected to print their entire first name, not just the shorten nickname and pretty much all through the first few years. Just keep that in mind, especially if you have a long last name! Best of luck to you!

I see Genevieve as creative and bright. Since Bennett is more of a surname, it doesn't leave me with any impression at all. Ben, though, sounds like a friendly, well-rounded man.

Hi there! Thanks for your reply ... and your opinion. Bennett DOES sound like a surname, doesn't it? Actually, it's the medieval form of St. Benedict. But sounds very contemporary ... that's why I like it, it's that blend of very old with a new sound. Just thought I'd toss that out, fwiw. Take care!

These are gorgeous names. Congratulations!

As far as your question, I was friends with a Genevieve growing up. Extremely, extremely intelligent, went to Wellesley, works now in Boston. Honestly, she was a bit crazy sometimes, but I loved her. She was fun and cool. And I think it's a great name. Good luck with everything! Alyson
