While I do love the idea of passing on your middle name, I do think that Melanie Jo Johannsen is a bit strange. And who knows- maybe she will want to keep her maiden name when she gets married- a lot of women are doing that now. What is your first name? Or maybe even your maiden name? I would try to find another way to incorporate a significance name without using Jo Johannsen. Even Melanie Josephine Johannsen is better, and it still ties her to you.

Melanie Adalyn- I like Melanie, and rarely hear it anymore. I love Adeline and Adelyn, but am not sure about Adalyn. Would you be pronouncing it "AY-duh-lynn" or "ADD-uh-lyn"? I have always hear "ADD-uh-lyn, so if you are going with the pronunciation, I would keep the spelling Adelyn.

Melanie Madalyn- I love Madeleine, but I do prefer this classier spelling. However, with Melanie, it is a bit singsongy and repetetive. I don't like them together

Bradie Faith- On a girl?! That is very, very masculine and

I think Melanie is a lovely, classy name. A great choice! Melanie Jo Johannsen is a bit much- I agree with pp that using your fn might be a better way to go.

Bradie, Caleigh, and Zoie are IMHO trendy, misspelled and very unappealing. I think they all lack the class of Melanie.

Melanie Brooke would be nice.

To incorporate Jo in the mn:
Melanie Jocelyn
Melanie Joy
Melanie Joelle
Melanie Joanna

I appreciate your opinions but I am not up for changing the spellings or considering other middle names.

I just wanted to say that I like Melanie so much because it is classy and it is not very common and it is not out there like when people try to name their kids weird names to make them unique.

Melanie Adalyn - The only issue I'd have with this is that the middle name's pronunciation is ambiguous.

Just to clarify for everyone asking about pronunciation.

Zoie is (Zoey, Zo EEE)

Adalyn is (Add A Lynn)

And I know Bradie is a boy's name but I met a girl once who's name was Brady and I really liked it so...

Also I do think that Caleigh, Zoie, Bradie are trendy but I have a huge family and half of the names I like are already taken.

Again thank you for your opinions.

I know most of you think that Melanie Jo Johannsen is too much but you know my name is the same way.
