in your child's class? Just thought it would be interesting to share. I grew up as an Amy in the 80s...you guessed it...LOTS of Amys in my classes! So I tried to avoid that with my sons. So far no other Calvins, and no other Tobias's, but my oldest is in class with one other Nathaniel (but no other Nates, which is what he goes by).

Other duplications are: 2 Jonahs, 2 Haleys, 3 Mikaelas, 2 Coltins, 2 Madisons

We are in Oregon. What's duplicated in your

Amy, mom to Nate (9), Calvin (7), and Tobias (4). You can find me at my blogs:

Mine aren't in school yet, but as a teacher, I've seen many, many Nick/Nicholas's as well as Brady's!

I posted the class lists from the kids I nanny for the other day because I thought they were really interesting, mainly because of the lack of trendy names. No Michaelas, Mackenzies, Aidens, Kaylees, etc.

We're in central VA.

There aren't many duplicates in my oldest son's 7th grade.

In my son's 4th grade there are a lot of Jacobs/Jakes as well as a few Christophers.

In my son's 2nd grade there are a bunch of Matthews.

Haven't seen any duplicates in the groups my 2-yr-old hangs around.

In my daughters grade three class there are 3 or 4 Alex/Alec, one of them being a boy. I think there are 2 Kurstin's as well. We're in ON.

No duplicates in my dd's class this year, but last year there were two Nathans and two Noahs. In my ds's playgroup there are two Madisons, one goes by Mady. There are lots of Madisons (nn Maddie/Mady) here. We're in WV.

Out of about 20 kids at toddler story hour (for 18-36 month-olds) yesterday, I couldn't believe that there were 3 Natalies! There were also 2 Aiden/Aidans.

Other names I've seen quite a bit of in the baby/toddler age range in the Cincinnati area... Joseph, Matthew, Abigail/Abby, Emma, Ellie, Kayla/Kaylee, and Katherine/Kate/Katie/etc.

Some names that I've only encountered once in the baby/toddler age range... Oliver, Spencer, Manuel/Manny, Gavin, Pierce, Loyd (yes, just one L), Victor, Dominic, Anthony, Kelsey, Veronica, Megan, Julianna, Marilyn/Mari.
