I'm just curious what everyone else’s top 5 favorite boy/girl names list looks like.
Mine changes frequently, but right now it looks like this:

5.Taggert- dh HATES this one too

Girls:

Griffin is a really cool name! The nn options that come straight from it are neat, too...Riff, Finn.

Keep pushing Fergus! LOL, more people should love this name. ;-)

I could see us having a Declan, but we're still discussing Tallula...our ln is Lucier (pro. Lu-see-ay) so Tallula Lucier doesn't exactly have a great flow. We keep it in the lists though because we figure 1) we love the name so much and 2) She will often be just Tallula more then she'll be called the full Tallula Lucier

Our top name right now is Romilly Edith- my mom is Rosemary so it's a nod to her, and DH's Grandmother was Edith. The only thing holding me back with Romilly is I'm afraid to name a child something she may then spend her whole life telling people how to pronounce, esp. w/ our last name being tricky to pronounce for a lot of people. Well, that, and we just adore the name Tallula!

Love your name list too. Especially like Talulla(of course), Bidelia, Imogen, Nolan and Angus

I WISH I could get DH to agree to Heidi -- why do guys not like this name?? DH said it sounds like a stripper name. I don't think so at all and I was a little hurt when he said that to me. I absolutely adore this name.

Heidi is actually a pet form of Adelheid. Maybe your DH would be a bit more receptive to that, or even Adelaide, and you could call her Heidi.

I'll admit that I find it a bit "light." For instance, my husband was telling me about a student in one of his classes who always came in inappropriately dressed--low-cut tank tops, tight yoga pants--but was a really sweet girl. I asked her name and he said "Heidi" and my first reaction really was "well, that makes sense." And you know, I couldn't tell you why. It just doesn't have a lot of substance to me.
