Hello. I'm expecting my first baby, a little girl, December first. Hubby and I have narrowed it down to two names. We can't seem to make the final call between the two though. I'm curious what others think. The two names we like are Norah Elizabeth and Madison Taylor. Neither are family names, just ones we like. One is very trendy, the other much more traditional. Which do you like and why?

Our last name is King, so it is:
-Norah Elizabeth King
OR
-Madison Taylor King

Looking forward to you input!
Emily

Hi Emily -
Both names sound nice together.
I personally would stay away from Madison .
My oldest daughter has 3 in her 2nd grade class and my 4 year old has 2 in her class as well. Most of them use the nn Maddie, one has a nn MiMi(Madison Mariah). Just something to think about.
I'd vote for Norah Elizabeth. I probably would spell use the Nora spelling. You will probably be correcting the missing "h" sometimes.

Hope this helps

I really like Madison.

Norah is so dull and lifeless sounding.

Wow...that is a tough one as I love both names.

-Norah Elizabeth King - Classy, pretty...
OR
-Madison Taylor King - I just LOVE Madison though...so I have to vote for Madison!

Oh I like Norah. I think it's lovely. Also, we had a child come to the daycare named Nora and she was the sweetest little girl. So maybe I'm associating. ;)

Norah - It's more original ... there are so many Madisons.

I love the name Madison, but if there are many little girls with the name I wouldn't use it. I always had many kids in my class named Danielle and I hated it.

Norah is such a nica name and I would consider Taylor Madison.

NORAH ELIZABETH!!! Madison is horribly trendy, not to mention originally a male name. Taylor is just the same. Norah & Elizabeth are both beauitful & classic feminine names. Norah is sweet & simple, & not terribly over done like Madison is. There are Madisons everywhere. I highly recommend Norah Elizabeth King...sounds like a winner to me. :)

I vote for Madison. I love that name. We had Madison Olivia Grace, but he turned out to be Conner Jaxson Chase. It sounds so pretty, sweet, elegant, lovie and so darn cute. Norah is kinda old to me. I like the Trendy names or names that are different. We are going to be TTC # 4 this Nov. So far I have Parker Jaxson (still trying to find one more middle name to go with it) and Morgan for a girl. I want the name Belem to go with it but I'm having a hard time trying to get it to blend. Good Luck on the name game.....Madison!!

I think Norah Elizabeth is beautiful (though I'm not crazy about the extra h), a million times better than Madison Taylor.
