Even though it is not much different
Isabelle is much less popular than Isabella...
My friend had a baby a couple of weeks ago and was going to name her Isabella, but the nurses said as just an FYI they had had 9 Isabella's that week alone...she went with Sophie instead...

The very Italian "Isabella" with the clearly Irish "O'shaughnessey" wouldn't make sense to me unless there is some Italian blood in there as well!

For that reason, I think I prefer Isabel O'shaughnessey. Simpler and less frilly!

They're both very pretty but since O'shaughnessey has 4 syllables, I think fewer syllables is better.
