I really like Laird, I just don't think it flows with David as Laird ends in a "d" and David begins with one. Laird Christpher would be better IMO.

I absolutely love Nathan (most likely would have been this baby's name had she been a boy), so that definitely got my vote. I'm not really sure how you pronounce Laird, though, so I couldn't have voted for that anyway. I'm assuming L-air-d (as in, the middle sounds like the word air), but I'm not positive. It's a little too close to Lard for my liking, as I'm sure kids will pick up on that in a heartbeat, but if it's said like I'm guessing it doesn't sound too bad. Still prefer Nathan though. :)

Thx so much for the input. Dh actually likes how the fn and mn blend together. I'm not sure. We'll have to consider Laird Christopher. Thanks again!!

Good tip on the lard sound-alike! Laird is pronounced as you guessed and I still like the sound of it, but I appreciate the heads-up on the teasing potential. Thank you for the input!

No problem. As long as it's not pronounced lard (and you're aware someone, somewhere, WILL try to do this lol), I think it'd work just fine. Good luck again in choosing! :)

I had a hard time voting. I love the first name Laird, but not with mn David. I think it was the end in "d" start with "d" thing. I love that name Nathan but I'm just ehh with the mn Christopher. Just doesn't do anything for the name Nathan. Maybe swapping the mn's or do you have any different mn options? I ended up voting Laird cause I love that fn more then I don't like the mn with it, lol, if that makes sense. Good luck :)
