We decided months ago on a name for our baby girl due in June - Zoe. But just realized she is a sesame street character- will the other kids tease her? My husband is very nervous, but I don't think its a big deal. Should we think about changing her name, or stick with the name we love?

For some reason Zoe reminds me of Steven King. I've never heard anyone name their baby Zoe though and if you like it, I think it is better than naming her on of the top 10 names. Go for it and who cares if no one else likes it.

Hey....I wouldn't worry about it. Go with Zoe if that's the name you like. It's not like you're naming her Elmo :o)

I don't think she'll have a problem with teasing. Its a beautiful name and I think you should definitely use it. Good luck!

Zoe is an established name, just because there also happens to be a Sesame St character named Zoe will not cause her to get teased

there are lots of little Zoe's around.

I personally love the name. I have a friend whos sister is adopting a little girl here in a few months and they picked out the name Zoe too, but I think they're spelling it Zoey. Except for you and her I haven't heard too much of it. Its a very beautiful and adorable name. I say go for it!

I would say go for it. Most names are used for some sort of character somewhere and I think it is a beautiful name. In fact, my new neice is Zoe Abigail...and I think it is just lovely...and they have gotten LOTS Of compliments on her name (as have I when I shared it). HTH

I think Zoe is so pretty! It's popular enough that I don't think there would be any teasing due to Sesame Street. Maybe a four year old might make a comment about the connection-but not in a mean way. I think you should use it-it's a great name!

Just last week I suggested Zoe to my DF and we both loved it - we only changed our mind because there's already a cousin with a similar name and we want our to be different.

I love it and say go with it!
