Hi There! I've posted and lurked on this board for 5 months... Now I need your help! We have a 2 year old named NATALIE and would like your advice on a very pretty girl name that goes well with a sister Natalie...

For now we really like:

Emily
Ashlynn
Ashley

Can you give me your thoughts on those names? Which is your favorite? And do you have any suggestions?

Thank you very very much!

Oh what fun this is -- Emily is my personal favorite. But the real test should be how it goes with your last name; avoid too much alliteration (same letters like Ann Anderson). And the acid test is to go to the back door and say "Emily, come in for dinner" to see how it rings with you. Good luck whatever you call your sweet newcomer!!!

Hello, congrats on your baby! I think ashlynn is a very cool name. Kinda like ashley but different, its nice. Kinda unique if i'm pronouncing it right. ash-lynn, right? If thats it i choose that one. I am hopefully gonna start a family one day soon and i have thought about names since i was 13...yeah i know, kinda wacky...but i love kids and cant wait to have my own. Good luck with names!

I do like the name Ashlynn. Try to give her an uncommen name. She needs to be an individual, not a typical like all he others in school. The social security websight will give you commonly used name and at the end of the list are some interesting ones.
My name is Noelle. All throught school, only one girl was named Noelle. Bad thing was every Christmas, they sang to me. They never remembered Noelle, it was always Nicole, or Noodle.
Good Luck

Payton, Sommer, Evelyn, Mia, Kayla, and my favorite is Morgan

Hi and congrats on the new baby!!! My 22 yr old dd is expecting in Jan 2006 and I'm sooo excited to be a grandma for the first time. Here are some names I like.....

Kasey (pronounced KC )
Rebecca
Nichole
Victoria
Abigail
Martina
Leila

I know most of these are old fashion but they still sound like strong feminine names. Good luck with whatever you pick!!!!

When deciding on a name for our unborn baby I fell in love with the name Olivia for a girl and Oliver for a boy. Well, Olivia Morgan was born on 2/14/05 and the name we picked is perfect for her!

Congratulations and good luck to you and your family.

Hi there,
Congrats on the new addititon. I really like Ashlynn, I think Emily has gotten way too popular recently so you might find alot of Emilys already out there.
Here's a few more.
Julie, Sarah, Lily or look to your family tree for inspiration.
good luck.

I don't understand why do you want your new born to match Natalie's name. Please think about it...Emily and Natalie have the same sound at the end.
My sister and I have that problem and I dislike it, because even my Mom has a hard time getting our names straight when she talks to either of us.
Ivonne and Ivette (those are our names).... I love my sister's name, but I don't agree pairing siblings names with sounds. It always bothers me when anyone in my family calls me my sister's name instead of mine, because they sort of have a similar sound.
It makes more sense to match the last name, than siblings names.

How about Karina (or a different spelling like: Corrina) thats nice, I've always been fond of the name Audrei-Taelor for a little girl, or Audrey Taylor if you like the more traditional spelling and the Y action better Y's are very pretty. I love girl names, I wondered the other day actually about the name Natalie, I really liked it. I have a cousin Natalya which is a form of Natalie I think. My s/o's name is Nate (Nathan) so Natalie had a nice vibe to it. -Not that we are expecting but I'm always thinking of the future! Good luck on finding a name for your little baby girl!
