I am in love with the name Lorelei and am in need of a MN to go along with it. Our last name is THOMAS. I've come with a few names (your opinions would be appreciated), but I've run out of ideas and need your help. Here's what I have...

Lorelei Evelyn (Evelyn is a family name)
Lorelei Michelle (Michelle is my middle name)
Lorelei Olivia (Tongue twister?)

Also, this is kind of thinking down the line, but do you think Juliana would make a good sibling name? These are the top two names on my list, and although it's not necessary that they "fit", it would be nice.

I think both Loralei and Julianna are absolutely gorgeous! I espeically like Loralei at is not popular, but so pretty. I think Loralei Evelyn is pretty. Michelle is okay, but you could do better with Loralei- they just don't seem to go together. And I agree that Loralei Olivia is a bit of a tongue twister. Here are some other ideas...
Loralei Faye Thomas
Loralei Clara Thomas
Loralei Nichole Thomas
Loralei Adeline Thomas
Loralei Grace Thomas
I can't really think of anything that sounds nicer than Evelyn. Loralei is a hard name to pair with a mn. I think if you don't go with Evelyn, one syllable names would sound nice... ex. Loralei Shea, Loralei Rose, Loralei Claire, Loralei Jade, etc.

Lorelei is such a nice name. I think Michelle with it would be nice since it is your middle name, but also liked the previous post where they suggested a shorter middle name, but it really doesn't matter. Here are a few thoughts for you to consider:

Lorelei Cate
Lorelei Jayne
Lorelei Simone
Lorelei Renee
Lorelei Helene

Here's another mn idea I came up with, although I'm not sure it flows very well. My mom's name is Cynthia (she has no middle name). I'd love to be able to incorporate that somehow.

Does LORELEI CYNTHIA THOMAS sound strange?

Is there a variation on Cynthia I could use?

I'd go with Evelyn because it's a family name, so it connects her to another generation.

I like Lorelei, but I don't think any of the mns you have listed quite does it ... they just can't match up to such a frilly (not in a bad way), unique fn.

I'm thinking something equally feminine (and for some reason a floral/springtime type picture keeps popping into my head). Along those lines, the best I can come up with offhand is Lorelei Violet, but I'm sure someone else could do better (pregnancy brain right now lol). Does that make any sense, though?

HTH (somewhat lol)

Hmmm ... my mom's name is Cynthia as well, and I've looked into different variations on a few occasions (wish I had a list of them now, but I never found one that sounded really good with our ln lol). The one that does kind of stick in my head is Cinnia. Not actually a variation (although it sounds so similar I think it works anyway), and I believe it means beauty, which is also a plus (I hate when nice name have not-so-nice meanings lol). My mom also has the cute nn Cinder(s), which would work as a mn with the right fn (but only if your naming style permits, obviously lol).

Anyway, that's about all I can think of offhand.

Lorelei Olivia is definitely too much of a tongue twister

Lorelei Evelyn doesn't flow well =the syllable accents aren't in the right places - and even the L in the Evelyn is too much

Lorelei Michelle flows the best

I think Lorelei Evelyn is great, although, as someone suggested, one syllable names would flow well. I agree that Lorelei Michelle flows too, but I think that the names are too different in style. Lorelei seems stronger and more traditional, while Michelle is a more contemporary, lighter name.
