I'm really loving the name Camilla for a girl right now. I'm not due till February, and it may be another boy anyway, but I still love to start thinking of names right away. Anway, what do you think, like it, love it, hate it, lukewarm. I wouldn't use Cami as a nn, since my bf in high school is named Cami, but would maybe use Lily or Lilla as a nn. What do you think, I want honesty!!

LOVE Camilla. It's so feminine and pretty. Sounds either British or Southern. Very romantic and uppercrust.

I like Lilla as a nn (lots of little Lilys running around already, but if you love it, it's nice). Milla is also nice. You could almost get away w/Mia, if you like that nn.

I also like Camille, but not as well as Camilla.

Good luck!

I like it! I do think Lily or Lila as nicknames are a stretch... how about Milla or Millie?

I like it. I especially like Lily as a nickname. Both Camilla and Lily sound classy.

Sorry, but the Muppets have ruined that name for me. But then I was/am a big Muppets fan. Most people probably won't remember that Camilla was the name of Gonzo's chicken.

But I like the name Camille.

My first thought, is "ooh! I love it!!! It's like Camille, yet even more feminine!" But then there's something that makes me have that "something is not right" feeling...and then it dawns on me what it is--Camilla is the name of Prince Charles' mistress. And I can't help it, I just think she is awful. So that definitely detracts from the name for me. But I definitely do like it!

Best of luck to you!

Yeah, it depends where you are from. I am English and all I can think of is Camilla Parker Bowles, but then obviously it doesn't have the same effect in AMerica (which is where I live now). It is pretty, how about Camile?

LOL o boy. The first thing that comes to mind is that muppet, Gonzo I think, who had that pet chicken named Camilla. I don't know how I can remember that! :)

I don't see how Lily or Lilla can me a nn for Camilla. I think Milla or Millie is real cute, though.

Good luck! :)

I couldn't care less about the happenings of the Royal family. They are interesting and all but I don't care about their personal lives. So the Prince Charles reference doesn't sway my opinion in the least.

I think Camilla is a cute name. All the nns suggested are fine to me as well.

I have a cousin named Camilla. It worked for her. I'd go for it!
