Good Morning All!

So apparently DR says I am gaining too much weight (not my regularly assigned DR either). I started at 120lbs pre pregnancy and at 27 weeks I have gained a total of 30lbs in a little over 6mos. This is my 3rd and last pregnancy (having tubes tied during c-section). Should I really be concerned? Has anyone else been told this?

Hi there,

It can be frustrating to hear comments about your weight during pregnancy!  I know that they generally recommend that pregnant women gain around 25-35 lbs during the entire pregnancy.  Every woman and every pregnancy is different, though. The last month you tend to pack on more pounds (generally a pound a week), so that's something to think about.  I wouldn't worry too horribly much about his comments.  As long as you are eating healthy and staying active, you should be just fine.  I'd talk to your regular doctor  to see if he/she has the same concerns and what they would recommend at this point.

Wishing you the best of luck.  Please keep us posted as to how you are doing!
