Yesterday i woke up with som cramping that would not go away so off to L&D i went to be observed for an hour. I was sent home no sighn of anything crazy but later that night i started having contractions. They went away but started up again this morning. So now i'm on Brathane wich is helping but I know when the med's about to run out.... I"m trying to stay posative but I'm only 20 weeks and this is the earliest any of this stuff has started for me. I know i have a realy great doctor this helps put my mind at ease. I'm gong to see him in the morining. I'm probably not going to get to go back to work.... I'm the sole provider right now and that is kinda scary luckily i'll get full pay until my sic time runs out then i'll get 70% 'til 6 weeks after the baby gets here. It's just things are already tight so i wanted to work as long into the pregnancy as i could.... sigh. Please say a prayer for us and send some "contractions go away" vibes my way! Thankyou ladies for being there!

I'm so sorry this is starting so early for you. does your ctx normally change your cervix? I know its distressing to be contracting but for some people it doesn't change their cervix so the ctx are less of a worry.

hugs, make sure you stay really hydrated and rest as much as possible,

Thankyou Sybil,

So far the contractions have not caused any change wich is good. I have IC though and have a crclage.Last time i did start to dialate even with the cerclage due to the contractions i was having. I was further along though and the cotractions were much worse. I'm just taking each week as it comes. So far the brethane is working pretty well. My goal right now is to make it another 3 weeks wich will put me at viability. Then each day after that will be a blessng! Thanks for the advice and if anything changes i'll post!

Hugs,

Oh I didn't realize you had a cerclage. That's a different story. I see all the normal preggos at May EC talking about 2-4ctx per hour and know that for a lot of people this is totally normal, especially in subsequent pregnancies. But when I have them like that and worse, I think, my poor cervix can't take this even if it is normal!!!!

hugs and take it one week at a time!!! You'll get there!
