Possible Blighted Ovum - help! :(

A little tidbit of info. DH and I have been TTC for 3 years. He was on clomid due to low morphology, other than that we were doing ok. Took 2 at home pregnancy tests and they were positive on Jan 20, we got into our PCP on Jan 21 to confirm by blood, and on the 22nd recieved my HCG results - positive for pregnancy and were 606. My conception date was either Dec. 26 or Jan. 1, my LMP was Dec. 16th, and there could have been a date of "DTD" around Jan 9-12 prior to my period supposed to be starting. Back track to Friday, I began to have spotting, went to the ER and had an ultrasound and blood work. HCG levels 21,000, and ultrasound only showed a 5 week 5 day gestational sac. My OB said it was a grey area because my trends in HCG's were great, but there was no fetus/fetal pole/yolk sac. She is having me wait until Thursday to have a repeat ultrasound to see if there is any change. Anyone ever have this happen?

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your story with us. I don't have personal experience with a blighted ovum but I did want to let you know that I'm keeping you in my thoughts. Please update us when you can about what you find out on Thursday. Gentle (((HUGS))) coming your way.

Thanks for the thoughts! :) I didn't realize there was a post on here. I did have my followup ultrasound. It did show a yolk sac, and my gestational sac measured me at 6 weeks. There still wasn't any fetus or heartbeat, but the MD was hopeful with the yolk sac. Pretty much a grey area. Uncertain if I would carry on into a healthy pregnancy or not. I'm hopeful. Keeping my head up. We've tried for 3 years and my husband is on Clomid for low morphology (sperm) so this is our first positive blood test/ultrasound. I go back next Thursday. I still have nausea, food aversions, and other symptoms. Just hoping we see more next week!
