I had my Peri consult and they did recommend that I start 17P shots when I hit 16 weeks. Hopefully I will have a full-term baby this time.

My DH is going to have to give me the shots. Good thing he is okay with it.

Thanks for the update! I'm glad to hear that things are going well so far and that you have a "plan." My peri and I are still up in the air about the shots, but I have about 4 more weeks to decide. That is great that your DH can give them...one of the main drawbacks for me is going to dr. for them weekly. But of course I would do it if needed!

Good luck, and keep the updates coming!

You can't have your DH or SO give you the shots? That sucks you would have to go to the dr each week.

My husband is giving me mine too. I have had three kids at roughly 34 weeks. Finally this pregnancy I got an OB to do something. The shots aren't really that bad. Most of the time I have no soreness of pain afterwards. Once in a while is is slightly sore for a couple of days. I think the biggest thing is to inject it slowly. It is very thick and if you do it too fast, that is when it hurts. Make sure you alternate the location of the shots. Once we gave it in the same hip two weeks in a row and it did seem more sore. Must remember my shot is due tomorrow!
